An alignment that seemed almost ideal at the end of our league meeting earlier in April quickly became chaotic when a Thursday night team dropped out shortly thereafter. After much deliberation, the schedules are finally set and we are ready for the start of the season on May 1st.
Our regular season has been extended from 11 weeks to 13 this season. The playoffs that follow will include all teams on each night, but will be loser out in the opening rounds. Championship Week, however, will have a best of 3 series championship series on each night.
Monday has 6 teams; Tuesday and Thursday both have 8. Wednesday, unfortunately, will be saddled with only 5 for the third year in a row. This year, though, with the longer regular season, there will be two byes for each team. This will help reduce the number of scheduled 9:00 games for each team from 4 or 5 to 1 or 2.
As we wait for Opening Day to arrive, please keep in mind that we are hosting our first tournament of the season on Sunday, April 23rd. Please let us know if your team is interested.
